What is it?
The Daily Digest (COS-007) is Warburton's system for delivering a structured summary of community activity directly to the operator. It surfaces what matters — unanswered questions, moderation actions, sentiment shifts, new members, and quiet departures — without requiring anyone to log into a dashboard.
Not everything important happened loudly.
Why does it exist?
Community operators are busy. They don't have time to scroll through hundreds of messages looking for the things that matter. They don't have time to check a dashboard every morning. They need the important information to come to them, structured, prioritised, and actionable.
The Daily Digest exists because the gap between "everything is logged" and "the operator actually knows what happened" is where community problems grow. Information that exists but isn't surfaced is functionally the same as information that doesn't exist.
Why is it different?
Most analytics dashboards require operators to log in, navigate to the right page, and interpret charts. The Daily Digest inverts this — it delivers the summary directly to the operator's DMs on the same platform they already use. No separate login. No separate tool. No context switching.
The digest also surfaces what didn't happen. Unanswered questions — the things people asked that nobody replied to — are often more important than the conversations that happened loudly. Quiet departures — members who simply stopped participating — are highlighted alongside noisy events.
How does it work?
- Daily summary: Each day, the digest compiles key community metrics and events into a structured summary delivered directly to admin DMs on Telegram or Discord.
- Unanswered questions: The system tracks questions that were asked but received no response, surfacing them in the digest so operators can ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Moderation summary: All moderation actions, escalations, and safety interventions from the previous period are summarised with counts and context.
- Sentiment shifts: Significant changes in community sentiment — positive or negative — are flagged with context about what may have caused the shift.
- New members and quiet departures: The digest tracks who joined and, importantly, who stopped participating without formally leaving.
- Configurable frequency: The digest can be configured for daily or weekly delivery, depending on the operator's preference and community size.
